Daily Near-Earth Object Close-Approach Report
Catalogued Earth close-approaches from the NASA NeoWs feed (JPL small-body solutions). This bulletin is a catalogue report, not a live CNEOS CAD/Scout stream. Object names, miss distances in lunar distances and kilometres, relative velocities, estimated diameters, and PHA flags are taken from api.nasa.gov for the current UTC date when this page is opened.
Astrophyzix Digital Observatory publishes an automated daily close-approach report sourced from NASA's Near-Earth Object Web Service (NeoWs). The report window is seven UTC days. Each row lists the catalogued object, close-approach epoch (UTC), miss distance (LD and km), relative velocity (km/s), estimated diameter (km), and status (PHA, sub-lunar, notable, or routine). No listed object is treated as an impacting trajectory; PHA is a size and MOID flag, not this week's miss distance.
Primary data source: NASA NeoWs at api.nasa.gov, fed by JPL Solar System Dynamics small-body solutions that also underpin CNEOS. Hazard status should be verified against the CNEOS Sentry table. Live CAD/Scout/Sentry tracking is a separate console: Multi-watch tracker.
What the live bulletin contains
- Closest catalogued approach in the observation window (name, LD, km, v_rel).
- Close approaches on the report date (UTC).
- Lead-object heliocentric osculating elements when NeoWs lookup is available.
- Seven-day forward outlook.
- Deterministic analysis of the same records (counts, PHA, sub-lunar, median miss).
- Data provenance: module id, generated UTC, cache state, NeoWs endpoints.
The numeric tables are filled from NeoWs after this document loads. Crawlers that do not execute scripts will still have this article, the JSON-LD NewsArticle, and the NASA source links. Numbers for a given UTC date are those of the NeoWs feed for that date.
