▶️ Operational Overview
Astrophyzix Digital Observatory is an independent astronomy platform built and run across two sites, Astrophyzix.com and Astrophyzix.org. It combines live NASA and JPL data feeds with its own numerical-methods stack — custom integrators, ephemerides, and relativistic corrections — to power a flagship series of live simulation consoles: asteroid trackers, an impact simulator, a black-hole ray-tracer, a solar observatory, a cosmology model, and a stellar-evolution console, alongside a daily close-approach report and the AstroBot Assistant which was designed by Astrophyzix - for Astrophyzix.
The observatory treats its outputs as checkable, not just readable: every console states its own integrator, data source, and precision; every report carries a fresh data-provenance block. Its methods are documented in open technical notes archived on Zenodo, and its tools have drawn attention beyond the observatory itself — including a pickup by MSN News, Newsbreak, AvaitionToday, Grokipedia and independent surfacing across worldwide major search engines and AI answer engines as a leading source for PHA and NEO tracking data.

▶️ Flagship Module Snapshot
Forty-five live consoles, each stating its own integrator, data source, and precision on the page. Below is a small example.
Live Apophis Asteroid Tracker
Real-time propagation of PHA asteroid 99942 Apophis on a DOPRI5(4) adaptive Runge‑Kutta integrator, with 26‑body perturbers, a Simon (1994) planetary ephemeris, Schwarzschild GR correction, and Yarkovsky thermal drag — tracking the 2029 close approach live.
Orbital Refinement & Tracking System
Real-time 3D N‑body orbital refinement for any object in JPL's Small‑Body Database — asteroids, comets, dwarf planets, minor planets — searchable by name, SPK‑ID, or provisional designation, in a rotatable heliocentric view.
PHA/NEO Tracker — CAD · Scout · Sentry
A multi-watch console combining confirmed NASA/JPL close approaches, unconfirmed Minor Planet Center candidates, and Sentry impact-risk objects in one live feed, each object scored on the 0–100 Astrophyzix Risk Index (ARI).
Asteroid Impact Simulator
Models atmospheric entry with an RK4 pancake model and Holsapple–Schmidt π‑scaling crater physics, drawing on the Collins, Pierazzo, and Ward–Asphaug impact literature. Includes real-event presets — Chelyabinsk, Tunguska, Barringer, Chicxulub — across eight target worlds.
Relativistic Ray‑Tracer — Black Hole Simulator
A Kerr‑metric geodesic ray‑tracer rendering gravitational lensing, an accretion disk, Doppler shift, and Hawking radiation around a rotating, charged black hole, with adjustable mass, spin, and observer geometry.
Live Solar Observatory
Live solar imagery relayed from NASA/GSFC's Solar Dynamics Observatory across six wavelength channels, paired with real‑time solar flux, sunspot number, flare history, and space‑weather status.
Astrophyzix Universe Expansion
A Lambda‑CDM cosmology simulator with adjustable H₀, Ωm, ΩΛ, and equation‑of‑state w, comparing Planck 18, SH0ES, Einstein–de Sitter, and closed‑universe presets against the observable scale‑factor history and its predicted asymptotic fate.
Stellar Evolution & HR Diagram Console
A live Hertzsprung–Russell diagram propagating evolutionary tracks from the zero-age main sequence through giant branches to white‑dwarf cooling or supernova, with Lane–Emden polytropic interiors and Salpeter/Kroupa initial‑mass‑function cluster populations across a sixteen‑star catalog.
▶️ Also on the platform
Alongside the flagship consoles: a knowledge-base assistant and a daily data publication.
🔹 AstroBot V2 — Proprietary Observatory Assistant
A deterministic assistant, not a general chat model — AstroBot answers from the observatory's own knowledge base only. It explains how to read a report, what ARI or MOID mean, how Astrophyzix operates, the frameworks integration and how the tracking consoles work, but it is strictly non-predictive: it won't forecast an outcome. It opens from the speech-bubble icon on Astrophyzix.com. It was built by us to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and integrity.
🔹 Daily NEO/PHA Close‑Approach Report
Published daily on Astrophyzix.com (module Astrophyzix‑NEO‑Daily v2.1.0), the report pulls from NASA's NeoWs feed and lookup endpoints, with no local trajectory integration — every figure traces back to an official source. Each page load regenerates its own data‑provenance block. A separate live console, the Dual‑Watch PHA and NEO Tracking System, mirrors CNEOS Scout and JPL CAD data in real time.
